Don’t be fooled by the initial low traffic in the first clips. I took more on Friday since there was more breathable room, but come Saturday it was difficult to move about. Otakuthon 2013 took place at the Palais de Congres convention center.
Here’s a pan of light traffic on the second floor. Works better since the ground floor does allow outside people to wander about, which makes for some very puzzled looks.
A take from the escalator descending to the ground floor. It’s still Friday so, not a lot of people. With the general public stopping to take snaps of the cosplayer, this area became very busy on Saturday and Sunday.
A cosplay couple decides to take a few turns around the dance floor. It was just a very cute moment.
This is one of the many silly anime dances that break out. Watch for the spy cutting in at the end with the WBC hate-inspired sign at the end. I’m a bit mixed about the WBC becoming a pop culture reference, but I have to admit it was funny.
A mock cosplay confrontation. Wait for the witch that throws the cat. Must be a special attack.
Here’s a silly dance to close things off… Yes, they’re doing the same thing over and over again. Notice how the girls on the left know a few more moves than anybody else.
