The Fantasia Film Festival takes place in Montreal from July 18 to August 6!

My favorite movie festival of all time, it brings over the top productions of movies from around the world. With an emphasis on the fantastic, the horror, science fiction, dark comedy and more than likely ninjas, zombies and monsters (oh my!) you’d have a difficult time finding a genre not to your liking here. I often have an intent to focus on one of the genres. One year it was all about horror, then another it was the martial arts films and last year I followed almost exclusively everything anime.

However in the end, it’s what I can watch rather than what I want – movie showings go fast and furious. The program, containing a description of all movies plus a DVD full of trailers will be launch in an event this Friday July 12th, 8pm at the Société des Arts Technologiques (S.A.T.), 1201 Boulevard Saint-Laurent.

At 9pm they will screen almost 100 trailers for the films that will be showcased at the festival. Here’s a video promo from last year:

Of course, if time allows I will be reviewing what I manage to catch. Bon film! 🙂

That will do for now.

I’ve actually got a trip happening right smack in the middle of it… but I will be able to catch some films at the start and at the end so I’m not complaining.
