Cooking Adventures: A bachelor’s life for me. And some mixed satay

Chicken, salmon and shrimp in a satay sauce

I’m a bit behind on my blogs… said everybody.

I haven’t done one of these in a while. I really thought about dropping these altogether because my cooking is barely above making toast. Nevertheless, whenever I try something new, albeit something new for me is everyday fare for the rest of the world, I feel inclined to post something about it. In this case, I diced up a chicken breast, a salmon fillet and some pre-cooked shrimp and fired up the pan. Then I added sweet corn and an indonesian satay sauce and ended up with a decent meal.

Actually too decent, half of it goes in the fridge for another day.

I don’t profess to be an expert, or a standard, or even a rookie cook. I just can stir something for myself and not die from eating it. But there’s a bit of zen in cooking too, so I’ll take it one post at a time. Don’t worry, I’ll return to my comics and gadgets after this post. There’s just some serenity in cooking. You set up everything and then execute it without burning yourself.
