It’s Otakuthon time!
It’s always more fun with a costume, although it was hot out there. Fortunately cosplayers are troopers and willing to put on the extra layers to showcase their craftsmanship. There was all sorts this year and I’m quite sure I missed a few. I attended all three days, although Saturday morning I just had to be a little late to get some of my Fantasia-lost sleep back. Some will say I’m getting too old for this crowd, but I really missed being in costume. I have an entire year to plan ahead and come up with something but even if I go as a civilian, I always love the ambience. It’s a different world for that weekend.
If I had to pick a winner, and this is when I might have to turn in my geek credentials, I would give it to the giant Starcraft Protoss Zealot (it look like it to me, then again, I’m sure someone will correct me).
